A taste of Puglia on the Sussex coast

Mamma Mia has been part of Aldwick life since 2009. Proprietor Max Miricola, from Puglia in southern Italy, brings you authentic Italian food and wine in a relaxed, informal setting.

Everything is cooked to order: home-made real Italian pizzas, authentic pasta dishes, and traditional antipasti such as zucchine al prosciutto and melanzane alla parmigiana. We provide children’s portions and gluten free pasta, and you are welcome to omit or swap any ingredient.

Or just come in for a coffee. We have a good variety, including espresso, cappuccino and latte, alongside an extensive drinks list of Italian wines and beers.

A choice of indulgent home-made desserts, from tiramisu and cassata to a lemon cheesecake built on an amaretti biscuit base, a light and airy chocolate cake with gooey chocolate fudge, and a selection of ice creams and gelato.

Finish with a proper Italian coffee: espresso, cappuccino or latte. The drinks list runs from Italian wines and beers to water and soft drinks.

We are less than a 10 minute drive from Church Farm Caravan Park and about 5 minutes from Butlins, or just a pleasant stroll along the seafront, a few metres down Nyewood Lane from the Waverley Pub.

If you are coming from far away, please phone to check our opening times and make sure we have a table for you. It can be very busy in the summer holidays.
